More than just an apprenticeship program..

At TIBÁ, we believe that the deepest knowledge is born from holistic experience. Our Apprenticeship Program was conceived as a living learning ecosystem, where theory and practice, work and contemplation, the individual and the collective merge. It's not just about learning techniques, but about experiencing an alternative model of living, working, and relating to the natural world. Here, you are invited to redefine time, rediscover the value of manual dexterity, and reconnect with the rhythm of the earth.

What We Offer…

Practical Immersion: We offer 5-6 places for a 4-week immersive journey. During this period, you will integrate into the flow and real needs of the Institute. The work takes place Monday to Friday, full-time, encompassing:

Construction and maintenance of the campus's ecological structures (rammed earth, bamboo, green roofs, water systems).Support for the overall growth of TIBÁ, which may include activities in the agroforestry garden, forest management, and maintenance of common spaces.

Organic Learning: This is not a course with a rigid curriculum. It is contextual and sensitive learning. The teaching of bio-architecture techniques happens within the flow of projects and current needs, guided by our permanent team. Once a week, you will have the opportunity to participate in a thematic class with TIBÁ instructors, delving into a specific topic in depth.

Community Life: Weekends are dedicated to individual processing of the experience, developing personal projects, exploring the surrounding nature, or simply relaxing. Living together is a fundamental part of the process, sharing meals, stories, and the simple routine of a regenerating farm.

Support and Infrastructure: We include accommodation in a single or shared room and full board (primarily vegetarian, with produce from our garden), so you can fully experience the immersion.

What We Expect From You…

We are looking for individuals driven by curiosity, resilience, and a genuine desire to learn by doing. We expect you to:

Be proactive and collaborative, ready to integrate into community tasks with goodwill.
Have an open mind and a heart willing to unlearn, adapt, and embrace voluntary simplicity.
Take on responsibilities, including supporting logistics during the monthly workshop, experiencing the entirety of a TIBÁ event.
Bring your unique passions and skills, whether in carpentry, gardening, cooking, photography, or any other domain that can enrich our community.
Come with a spirit of service and gratitude, understanding that your practical contribution is what sustains and renews this learning space.

Formal Information and Registration Process

Duration: 4 weeks (fixed period).

Contribution: R$ 2,000.00. This amount fully covers the costs of accommodation (single room) and 3 meals a day for 4 weeks, in addition to supporting the project.

The apprentices help with daily household tasks, such as preparing food, working in the gardens, planting, harvesting, and general cleaning;

A proposta pedagógica envolve projetos educativos com foco na Bio-construção e vivência holística para estimular os jovens a viver e trabalhar em harmonia com a natureza, fazendo parte do sistema vivo de construção natural e preservação do meio ambiente.

As atividades propostas durante o estágio estimulam a valorização do trabalho manual, práticas sustentáveis e contato com a biodiversidade da região. Toda a carga educacional é transmitida de forma competente, simples e divertida. Os jovens teriam oportunidade de conhecer o fundador do Tibá, Johan van Lengen, o conceito e filosofia do lugar, além de, também botar a "mão na massa" e realizar pequenos projetos com materiais naturais como terra e bambu, manejo de solo, identificação e coleta de plantas.

La propuesta pedagógica involucra proyectos educativos con énfasis en la Bio-construcción y la vivencia holística para estimular a jóvenes a vivir y trabajar en armonía con la naturaleza, haciendo parte del sistema vivo de construcción natural y preservación del medio ambiente.

Las actividades propuestas durante la pasantía estimulan la valorización del trabajo manual, las prácticas sustentables y el contacto con la biodiversidad de la región. Toda la carga educativa es transmitida de forma competente, simple y divertida. Los jóvenes tendrán la oportunidad de conocer al fundador de Tibá, Johan van Lengen, el concepto de filosofía del lugar, además de poner las “manos en la masa” y realizar pequeños proyectos con materiales naturales como tierra y bambú, manejo del suelo, identificación y recolección de plantas.
